Presenting IMPRESSIONZ, the annual celebratory two-day designer trunk show curated by fashion entrepreneur Krupa Sumanth on September 28-29 at The Ocean Pearl, Mangalore. A multi-designer presentation of silk sarees, traditional and ethnic wear, lifestyle products, jewellery and accessories by lifestyle entrepreneurs from all over the country, IMPRESSIONZ has the city’s fashionistas abuzz. And rightly so.
Says Krupa Sumanth, Founder & Head of the fashion brand Impressionz, “Mangaluru is fast gaining the tag of being a cosmopolitan city. Having curated fashion trunk shows over the last 15 years, this is my 7th edition in the coastal city. It’s a fabulous coming together of hand-picked designers chosen specially for the festive season, keeping the fashion sensibilities of traditional Mangaloreans in mind. An eclectic selection of hand-crafted sarees, salwars, jewellery and accessories is also what I’m looking forward to.” 
To be held from 10am-8pm at The Ocean Pearl hotel, Mangalore, here’s a sneak peek of some brands and designer collections on showcase at the 2-day fashion event: Sthree Collection from Chennai with an array of distinguished colourful kanjeevaram, banaras and organdy silks. House of Tamara with specialised handcrafted contemporary sarees in cotton, kanjeevaram and silver jewellery. Elegance by Namarata Kothari from Ahmedabad presenting high-end casual and designer Indo-western trendy ensembles. Turquoise Studio from Delhi with a wide range of anarkalis and organza silk-suits in intricate embroidery and trendy kurtis. In A Interesting Attire from Chennai with an electric collection of pure cottons, ikats, jamdhani and heavy kanjeevaram silks. Bhanvi’s from Bangalore with cocktail and party wear sarees in trendy silk and chiffons. Sony Kumar MIRPURI from Mumbai with hand-block vegetable dyes, traditional embroidery and other Indian techniques on vibrant kurtis and kaftans. Jigs and Pooja’s collection from Mumbai with unstitched salwar suits in linen and jute fabric. Needle Work Foundation from Bangalore – an organisation employing rural gypsy women – with hand embroidered kurtis and sarees, Design and Style from Chandigarh with chandari salwar suits and trendy tunics. Sunflower Jewellery from Mumbai with handcrafted stylish and opulent accessories are among few. So, go ahead and make a good Impressionz.
