Impressionz presents Vishal Kapur Textile Design Studio on Sept 30, Mysore

An exclusive showcase of selected hand-crafted textiles by Delhi based designer Vishal Kapur at Hotel Regaalis, Mysore on Sept 30

Mysore, September 26, 2015: Mysore, the royal fashion aware city, has a new reason to roll out the red carpet. IMPRESSIONZ presents an exclusive solo exhibit and sale by Delhi based Vishal Kapur Textile Design Studio, curated by fashion entrepreneur Krupa Sumanth on September 30 at Hotel Regaalis, Mysore. The event will be held from 10.30am–8pm.

Set up in 2007, Vishal Kapur, an alumnus of National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad, has been actively involved in creating innovative collections for home décor as well as for fashion applications. Specialising in creating unique handicraft based interior textile art installations, Vishal Kapur’s Design Studio focuses on helping the handicraft sector sustain its traditional craft and prevent it from getting misinterpreted as modern kitsch. Working closely with artisans from all over India to give fresh directions for new product development, Vishal hopes to help them broaden their vision. Traditional crafts on exhibit will include appliqué and badla work from Aligarh, gota work from Jaipur, block and screen printing from Sanganer (Jaipur) and handlooms from Mangalgiri, Bhagalpur.

The one-day solo exhibit will be held at Hotel Regaalis Board Room, Mysore, on Sept 30, 10.30am–8.00pm
